Employee Benefits will attract and retain staff.

Mandated Benefits - Some benefits are mandated based on the jurisdiction where the practice or business is located.  For example, businesses located in Maryland are required to maintain workers compensation for all employees.

Voluntary or Employer Sponsored

Other employee benefits can be offered on an employer sponsored basis or a voluntary basis.

Employer sponsored plans will typically be offered to all employees and premiums for the plan will be paid entirely or in part by the employer.

Voluntary Plans are individual benefits purchased by employees with the employer providing payroll deduction for the benefits.

Employer Sponsored Plans

Health and Medical Insurance  Coverage for Hospital-Medical-Surgical expenses.  Many plan options are available based on the size of the employer.  Coverage is typically available with no individual underwriting.

Group Term Life Insurance   Group Term Life Insurance provides a death benefit to employees.  An Employer Group Term Life Plan can be offered with benefit levels based on employer criteria such as a multiple of earnings, benefits based on employee classification or benefits based on the employer pay scale.

Disability Income

If an employee were to become disabled by accident or illness, how long would you continue that employees salary?

Do you have a written plan for continuing an employees salary in the event of disability?

By purchasing employer group disability income, the employer eliminates these issues and employees know the benefits to which they are entitled.

Short Term or Long Term or Both

Short Term Disability Income  This coverage provides weekly benefits to employees.  Benefits can begin after 1 week or after 1 month.  Benefits can be paid up to 13 weeks or 26 weeks.

Long Term Disability  Long Term Disability will provide benefits after a waiting period of 90 or 180 days and will pay benefits up to 5 years.  Long Term Disability can be used to supplement an employer self insured plan.

Short Term and Long Term Disability benefits can be combined based on the employers election.
